Online Training at AYSOU:  Coach Training Enrollment

Coach Drills and Practice ideas:  http://www.ayso.org/For_Volunteers/coaches/coach_training_games.htm#.WMx2RPkrKUl

Step one:  Complete your application online at "Register Now"

If you have not completed your volunteer application, please do so today. The software will not allow us to assign you to a team until you have completed this step.

Step Two:  Online portion of the training can be completed at (click to the right):  AYSO online training

You will need your AYSO Volunteer ID# to enter the online training site.  It is located on the top of your volunteer application that you completed in eayso.org.  You can log back into "Register Now" to get the ID # if you need to.
If you get stuck, simply ring 800-872-2976 and ask for the computer help desk.  They can walk you through the process and help you with your AYSO ID#.

Courses to take:
-AYSO CDC Concussion Awareness (45-60 minute online training course)
-Course MT02 - AYSO's Save Haven (60-70 minute online training course)

These can be taken before or after your in person training.  This is still a requirement in order to be certified.  Without these two courses you can not coach a team.

Step Three:  Sign up Online for coach training course.  This is in-person Training.

-Sign into eaysou.org
-Select Live Course
- Select Coaching Courses
-Click on Course(s) you are taking.
-Search for 922 in Oro Valley
-click on Register

This step is important.  You must be registered for the class, in order to get credit for the class.  If you can not sign up, then there is an issue with your volunteer form.  You can still come, but know we can not assign a team to you until that issue has been resolved.

Step Four: Attend Basic Coaching Clinic for U6, U8, U10, and U12 coaches

We may finish earlier for the U-10 and U-12 Field sessions.
Please bring a lawn chair, and water.  For U-10 and 12, wear comfortable cloths and shoes, and I also recommend sunscreen and/or a hat.  We will be out in the sun for 1-3 hours.
There will be coffee and snacks provided, but you can bring your own.  Also bring  , pad and pencil/pen.  Lawn chair is also recommended.

We are discussing adding additional coach training days but will be in the afternoon during the week.

I can't make the training, now what?

Additional coach training is available online if you can't make the in person training.  We prefer you take the in person training.  Online courses are under an hour.  This is for U6 and U8.  U10 has two training sessions.  Classroom/online, and a Field session.  You must have both to be considered eligible to coach 10U.
Click here for that training:  AYSO online training

You will need your AYSO Volunteer ID# to enter the online training site.  It is located on the top of your volunteer application that you completed in eayso.org.  You can log back into eayso.org to get the ID # if you need to.
If you get stuck, simply ring 800-872-2976 and ask for the computer help desk.  They can walk you through the process and help you with your AYSO ID#.
-Click on "Courses"
Then choose the appropriate course.

6U Coaches:  Course C002 - U-6 Coach (30-40 minutes course)
8U Coaches:  Course C002 - U-6 Coach (30-40 minutes course)
10U Coaches:  Course C004 - U10Coach (30-40 minutes course), the rest of training must be taken in person.

U6 and U8 Coaches:

For 6U and 8U:  If you can't make the in person coach training session, at a minimum we need you to complete the online training at AYSOU.org.  You will have to pay for it, by going to E-Commerce and selecting Coaching, then the course.    We prefer to train you face to face vs. the online training if you are available to attend the training session.  See Step Three to sign up for the course.

10U and up Coaches:

For 10U : You can do 1/2 the training online, but will need two hours of Field work at another time in order to be fully qualified.  You must have both Classroom and Field Session in order to be considered qualified to coach 10U.
